JamDeck is well worth a try if you are a musician, a songwriter, or a producer. The application is well worth a try because it is a music sketching tool and a properly good one at that. Whenever inspiration hits and you have a great idea for a song, use JamDeck to capture said idea and create beautiful music.

JamDeck is available for multiple platforms. You can use it on a device powered by Microsoft’s Windows operating system and you can also use it on a machine powered by Apple’s Mac OS X. No matter the operating system, it will take little time and effort to get JamDeck up and running.

JamDeck features a dark-themed interface that I found to be quite good looking. Not only is the interface a pleasure to look at, it is also a pleasure to work with. You see, said interface is intuitive and user friendly. It makes it very easy to access all the functionality that JamDeck has to offer.

Multiple instruments are offered to you by JamDeck: several types of pianos, cello, synth bass, several types of drum kits, jazz guitar, and more. Use these instruments alongside JamDeck’s other features (loop recorder, distraction-free work environment, MIDI hardware support, export function, and more) to create music.

The trial version of JamDeck allows you to create music, but it doesn’t allow you to save your work. That’s because the save function is disabled in the trial version. To get rid of this limitation you will have to get a JamDeck license.

JamDeck is good looking, it puts lots of instruments and other useful features at your disposal, it helps you create music. I don’t see what’s not to like about it.

Pros

JamDeck is available for multiple platforms: Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X. JamDeck features a dark-themed interface that is good looking and easy to use. A wide range of instruments is offered to you. Other useful features are offered: live looper, freestyle recorder, MIDI controller support, share on SoundCloud, and more.

Cons

The save funtion is disabled in the trial version; nag screen.
